This drawing is based off the Hundred-Handed Ones — creatures in Greek mythology that were the spawn of Uranus and Gaia and were even more powerful than the Titans. Uranus thought they were so ugly that he tossed them down into Tartarus, the underworld, where they remained until Zeus decided they could add some muscle to his army. You might notice that my drawing depicts a being with one hundred heads as opposed to hands; the truth is I miss-remembered my mythology when drawing this. I’m glad I did, though — hands are so hard to draw! I never would have taken the time to draw a hundred-handed one.

So far I’ve exclusively been showing my abstract art so I thought it might be interesting to show some of my cartooning. At the time I was fairly certain I had drawn exactly one hundred heads. Feel free to re-count if you wish.
