But that’s the sort of thing that breaks down the chain of cause and effect. You get rewards without doing the work and you accomplish goals without learning important lessons and losing parts of yourself — those little sacrifices that shape your character. Once you eliminate the journey, the destination is just an arbitrary point in space.
But that’s, of course, the adult and rational part of my mind speaking. It’s still a tempting thought to just cast a magic spell and be done with it.
