I drew this the same day that Pope Francis was elected. I’m sure he’ll be a fine pope — he’ll continue on the same legacy of oppression that the Catholic Church has left in it’s wake for over a thousand years. I’m sure he’ll both hate all the right people and teach all the people the right hate; all in the name of love, of course.
That bitterness aside, this drawing might just represent my feelings of distrust towards organized religion in general, and not any specific priest or bishop. I don’t like to offend people but I do know this drawing will probably offend some. Let it be known that I don’t have a problem with spirituality in of itself but that I do have a problem with things people do in the name of one spirt or another.
