The Warlock was in such a foul mood when he fled the scene that his guard was dropped. The Fairy was able to trail him back to a foreboding abandoned building at the very edge of the kingdom — this seemed to be where the Warlock had set up base for the time being. If she could be stealthy enough, the Fairy figured, she might be able to infiltrate the building and figure out exactly what the Warlock’s present scheme was.

The Warlock was infamous throughout the world. He wasn’t the sort of dark magician who dreamed of wide scale destruction and death — rather, he was the sort who reveled in chaos, and the upsetting of the natural order — which somehow nourished his ever-growing ego. Besides wanting to stop any potential crimes or threats, the Fairy was now getting curious at what the Warlock hoped to get from dabbling in transformation spells.
