Watching the Fish Swim By
Alex Hinders, 2013.
Colored pencil and pen.
This image is my sub-conciousness trying to deal with being at a stand-still. A part of me enjoys it, and the experiences it brings me — but really, I’d rather be in motion, like the fish. Notice that the girl in the drawing doesn’t have any kind of diving equipment on. Not only is she at mercy to the pressures of the deep, but I do believe that she’s technically drowning. But look at all of those pretty fish swim by!
