I’d like to introduce a new type of post to MagicalHamster.com. In the past I’ve alluded to the fact that I have a seemingly un-ending supply of drawings that I could color; I keep them in three different folders. They’re labeled, “Pencil Only”, “Outlined”, and “Colored”. It’s dawned on me that some of these may never get finished — but some of them are kind of cool to look at, anyway. So I’m going to put some of these drawings up; consider them works in progress. (Just don’t expect progress any time soon!)
This was drawn and outlined back in 2011 and is clearly based on Alice in Wonderland. It was in the initial rush of drawings when I started to get into abstract art again. I don’t like the trees in the background — maybe they wouldn’t be so bad if I gave them a thicker outline. Anyway, I spent my time coloring other drawings, and then I had to pack up and move from my apartment in a hurry, and I never got back to this drawing.
